Newark’s 4th annual sustainability festival, Greenfest Newark, is a community event that travels to a new ward each year. This is a FREE, family-friendly event with interactive activities including electric vehicle demonstrations, an interactive offshore wind experience, healthy food demos, a pop-up farmer’s market, interactive sustainability workshops, fun youth activities, music performances, yoga, sustainable product and service vendors, giveaways, delicious food and more!

The mission of Greenfest Newark is to increase public knowledge of and participation in Newark’s sustainability efforts in order to reduce resident exposure to toxins, engage Newarkers in the emerging green economy and encourage corporations, small business partners, residents and visitors of all ages to adopt the more sustainable practices that will ensure Newark has a vibrant and prosperous future.
